The Mumbai-based rapper is releasing his latest single this Monday. Titled 'Haq Hai', the single channels Shaikh's anger towards the recent authoritarian crackdown on protests across the country. Produced by Sez (Mere Gully Mein, Tragedy Main Comedy, Jungli Sher), 'Haq Hai' is a brutal condemnation of the Indian government's apathy towards grassroot political movements that question the status-quo. In 'Haq Hai', Shaikh explores the consequences and the fallout of the government's attempt at curbing dissidents and free speech in the country. Using hip-hop as a medium to dissect the socio-political issues facing this country, he hopes to inspire his listeners to voice their opinions without fear.
